This weekend sees the 15th running of the Jersey Super 10's
Veteran's tournament.
The well-established festival of rugby starts with a reception
for players and supporters in the back-bar of Chambers from 6.30pm
on Friday evening.
There is the opportunity for a post-night debrief on Saturday
morning at JRFC from 8am as the clubhouse will be open for business
to serve breakfast and show the England v Scotland world cup
match.
This year there are 13 teams competing for silverware - 7 from
England, 3 Jersey, 1 Guernsey, 1 Welsh and our good friends from
the continent, the Super Frelons. Play commences at 12.30 on
pitches 1 & 4 and will run throughout the afternoon.
Following the successful format of previous years, the knockout
part of the competition will take place on Sunday from 11.15 with
the finals being staged on the main pitch - 1pm Plate, 1.30
Bowl and 2pm Main Event.
Refreshments will be available throughout the weekend and all
support is welcome to come up and enjoy the antics on and off the
field!
