Jersey RFC are pleased to announce the signing of back row
player Jethro Rawling on a dual-registration deal with Leicester
Tigers.
The 20-year-old flanker, part of the Tigers Academy since 2008,
has arrived on the Island and will be available for the final five
games of Jersey's campaign in National League One, starting with
the home game against Cambridge on Saturday March
24th.
The deal was completed ahead of the RFU's February
24th transfer deadline, with the announcement delayed
while Rawling successfully completed his recovery from a
recent injury and passed a fitness test.
"I'm delighted to have a player of Jethro's talent available for
selection at the business end of the season," states Jersey
Director of Rugby Ben Harvey. "It's been an arduous campaign, with
a large number of injuries, and this signing is a significant boost
to our squad."
Earlier this season, Rawling was loaned from Leicester to
Coventry on a previous dual-registration deal, and played as a
substitute for Coventry at St Peter in their 29-3 defeat by Jersey
at St Peter in December.
