Core Responsibilities:
* Use excellent clinical skills to ensure the accurate assessment and diagnosis of injuries
* Work both individually and as part of the team to provide best practice physiotherapy treatment to injured players
* Liaise closely with the Medical, Strength and Conditioning and Rugby departments to ensure staff receive accurate daily information regarding the injury status of players
* Provide match day physiotherapy and pitch-side trauma cover for the Senior Squad
* Maintain detailed note taking on all injuries and treatments of the senior playing squad
* Designing and implementing personalised rehabilitation plans for injured players
* Developing a strong relationship with the Strength and Conditioning and Rugby departments with a view of injured players returning to “perform on the field of play”
* Work closely with all members of staff to develop an optimal working environment for all players and staff
* Plan and implement evidence-based injury prevention strategies for players
* Maintain a good working relationship with all key personnel, colleagues and players
* Provide detailed injury surveillance and injury data collection
* Plan and assist with the musculoskeletal screening of the senior squad as required
* Contribute to the ongoing RTP process whilst ensuring players are challenged on a daily basis
* Keep abreast of current best practice, maintain personal CPD and contribute enthusiastically to the Jersey Rugby Sports Medicine Department’s CPD programme
* Liaising with welfare and administration manager on all MRI scans and x-rays
* To carry out other duties that may be required by management that fall within the post holder’s capabilities
Qualifications, Experiences and Licenses:
* BSc Degree in Physiotherapy
* Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, and registered with the Health Professions Council
* Training in Pitch Side Emergency Care to ICIS level 3, or a willingness to complete this training at the next available opportunity
* Minimum of three years’ full-time postgraduate clinical experience as a Physiotherapist, of which a minimum of one year must be full-time working as a Physiotherapist in elite level sport

* An understanding of what is required for each position technically, tactically, physically and psychologically on the field of play

* Work closely with those within the physiotherapy department to ensure an environment of “challenge and support” is present
