Jersey Reds have signed Ioan Davies on loan from Welsh region the Dragons.
The 22-year-old, whose preferred position is full-back, has completed several training sessions since arriving on the Island and is in contention for a place in the squad to take on London Scottish in Saturday’s Championship clash at Stade Santander International.
Cardiff-born Davies represented Wales at under 18 and under 20 and played for Cardiff moving to the east to Rodney Parade in Newport when he joined the Dragons. He joins Dragons team-mate Luke Yendle after the prop made a similar loan move to the Island just ahead of the Reds’ opening league game.
The Reds currently lie third in the Championship and will be looking to conclude 2021 on a winning note on home turf against the Exiles prior to closing out the year with a Boxing Day clash against Bedford Blues at Goldington Road.
