As many of you may have read in the JEP, James
Ellershaw was visited last week by four JRFC
representatives.
Chairman Bill Dempsey, Head Coach Ben Harvey and fellow players
Ben Evans and Nathan Hannay made the trip to the Luton &
Dunstable Hospital, where James has been recovering since receiving
multiple injuries in a car accident in the UK on October
1st.
"It was good to see James and find him to be in quite good
spirits", said Bill Dempsey. "He's had a couple of pretty major
operations to repair his elbow and knee, and in addition there are
other injuries to his sternum, ribs and collarbones that have been
harder to pinpoint."
Bill continued, "He told us that he hoped to be out of hospital
within the next couple of weeks, although he will still have a long
road to recovery ahead of him from that point. We were pleased
to find him in good form, in spite of an over-exuberant
greeting from big Nathan that nearly caused more injuries! He
has a good network of family and friends around him and that
support will be invaluable as he continues his recovery."
