This week's wet weather means there will be reduced availability of match-day car parking at St Peter for the game against Doncaster Knights on Saturday January 2nd.
Pitch 2 at St Peter will be unavailable for car parking and parking will be restricted to approximately 160 spaces on the area formerly occupied by Pitch 3, accessed from L'Avenue de la Reine Elizabeth II (the Airport Road).
Spectators are urged to consider other options for getting to the match, whether this involves walking, cycling, getting a lift, travelling by taxi or using the many Liberty Bus services on routes 9 and 15 (click for timetable info).
Those who do intend to drive and park at the club should allow extra time for their journeys. Once the available spaces are occupied, it will be necessary for spectators to make their own arrangements by utilising the pay-and-display car parking at Jersey Airport.
"We're sorry for any inconvenience that is caused by these changes, however the weather has left us with no choice and we believe that by planning ahead the vast majority should still be able to get to the game without any difficulty," said Club Chairman Bill Dempsey. "It's a really big game to kick off the New Year, and our visitors will have plenty of support from their chartered flight, so we're looking for a substantial home support."
The latest forecast for Saturday (at 1145 on Friday) is for a mainly cloudy day with showers and strong W/SW winds. The club will be open from 11am, with kick-off at 2.30pm.
