Jersey will be playing their second and final pre-season
friendly fixture on Saturday 31st August against National League
One outfit and former Championship side Coventry RFC (Kick Off 4pm
at St. Peter).
The Islanders will be looking to keep
spirits high ahead of the start of the Greene King IPA Championship
two weeks later with preparations going to plan ahead of their
second successive year in England's second tier.
Former Jersey full-back Barry Davies will
be making a return to the Island to play for the opposition after
he moved to Coventry this summer. He will be missing what is
expected to be Jersey's most exciting season yet as the club looks
to consolidate its position in England's top 24 teams.
Tickets for the match will cost £5 for all
adults and concessions, but under 17s will be admitted free of
charge (proof of age may be required).
Supporters can also take advantage of
another special offer as the Club lay out a two course hot
buffet meal for just £10 per head. The lunch starts at 2pm,
and supporters will also be able to grab your 2013-14 fixture card
first hand.
The supporters' meal will only be
available with prior booking and it is hoped members and supporters
alike will take this chance to be hosted in the Clubhouse prior to
the match for what is another crucial encounter against a side
looking to mount a promotion charge to the Greene King IPA
Championship this coming season.
