At last night's AGM, Robin Nott was recognised for a truly magnificent service to the club - 64 years of unbroken dedication.
Robin joined the club in 1950 and played for the 1st team, including Siam cup appearances throughout that decade.
He joined the Social Committee in 1952 and then moved on to the General Committee, as it was then called, and took over as Treasurer.
Robin was on the board of JRFC Ltd from its incorporation in 1961, was made a Vice President of the Club in 1968 and elected as an Honorary Life Member in 1979 on his retirement as Club Treasurer.
He continued as a Director, Shareholder, Trustee and Company Secretary of JRFC Ltd that was later to become JRFC Holdings Ltd up until the Club's refinancing in October 2016, when the Holdings Company was sold.
All in all, 64 continuous years of service towards the growth of rugby in Jersey. Robin has steadfastly described himself as a 'back room' boy who just gets on with the job... Well, what can you say? - Some back room boy, some job!
Many thanks from everyone at the Club.
