Jersey Reds have terminated their contract with Regan King, who has returned to New Zealand for personal reasons, and is therefore not able to fulfil his contractual obligations.
Regan who won one All Black cap, and was once voted as the most valuable player in the world featured in two of the preseason matches for the Reds, including the historic win over Worcester Warriors, and a further 8 times in league and cup competitions.
From his time at the club, Head coach Harvey Biljon said that his input on the field of play had been very positive. "Regan is without doubt a huge talent, and his all round rugby experience and influence was unquestionable. He could just get in the zone, and other members of the squad were able to learn a great deal from that."
