Following a 6 week, 5 game stint of league action, the Reds are back on the Cup trail this weekend against London Scottish.
The Exiles currently top Pool 1 with two wins from two, whereas Jersey sit in third on 5 points with one win at home against Cardiff Blues and a loss away in Ulster.
The two sides have already met once this term at St Peter in the league when Jersey weren't on form and went down by 5 tries to 1.
Since then, both teams have had their ups and downs. Jersey have endured a prolonged period with a squad hit hard by injury that has tested the resolve of everyone on the coaching and playing staff.
Scottish too haven't had it all their own way and suffered 3 league losses on the trot, including to neighbours / landlords Richmond, before bouncing back with a narrow 10-13 win at Bedford that was followed by a more convincing 28-12 victory last time out at home against Ealing Trailfinders.
Jersey come into the game with more confidence having scored 4 tries in their last two outings against league leaders London Irish and last weekend against Doncaster Knights.
Head coach Harvey Biljon has, however, again had to juggle players in the preparation for this fixture. James Freeman who has been the on-field skipper for the majority of the season sits out through injury, as does centre Jordan Davies who sustained a knock to the head against the Knights. This means that Joe Buckle will again lead the side, as he did earlier in the season against Rotherham Titans.
"I've never known a season like it," lamented Biljon. "We have more players regularly watching training than taking part!"
"Having said that, I have been really impressed with the temperament of everyone involved, and 8 tries in two weeks is an outstanding return against two of the league's top teams."
New signings James McKinney and Kuki Ma'afu have slotted in really well, and the Reds welcome back Wasps' loanee Conor Dolan who takes a slot on the bench.
Jersey will look to stamp their authority on Pool 1 with back to back ties against London Scottish that includes hosting the Exiles next Friday evening at St Peter before a week off for Christmas.
