In seeking to keep up the momentum achieved through a recent run of wins, Jersey Reds will be wary of the determination of a proud club on their home turf.
The Reds achieved a comfortable home win by 43-21 in the first of back-to-back Championship Cup matches with Richmond last weekend, but realise there'll be no scope for complacency when they run out at the Richmond Athletic Ground this Saturday.
Richmond racked up three league wins at the RAG during September and October, and also ran the Reds close when they visited the Island for a Championship match five weeks ago, before eventually losing narrowly by 28-21.
Head Coach Harvey Biljon has rung the changes to his squad, with the starting XV showing nine changes to the line-up who began last Saturday's game at Stade Santander International.
In the backs, wings Jack Stapley and James Newey are retained, although the latter switches to centre alongside Mark Best, with Leroy Van Dam recalled on the other wing and Auguy Slowik selected at full-back. Brett Herron and Calum Waters will link-up as half-backs.
Hooker Jack Macfarlane retains his role as the starting hooker after claiming four tries last weekend as part of the Reds' powerful rolling maul, and will scrum down alongside Leeroy Atalifo, who returns from a fortnight with the Fijian national squad, and Captain Roy Godfrey. Jerry Sexton returns to the second row alongside Charlie Beckett, and the back row sees a recall for Max Argyle, who'll link up with Rory Bartle and Kyle Hatherell.
Jersey's bench includes Tongan international Apakuki Ma'afu, who is set to make his 50th competitive appearance for the Reds.
Having begun this season's Championship Cup campaign with three wins, the Reds will be looking to pursue their ambition of topping pool 2 in order to gain a home draw in the quarter finals of the competition next February. They are also looking to extend a winning run that stretches to nine games in league and cup.
Back on the Island, this weekend's live action takes place on Sunday, when Jersey Reds Women entertain Dorchester in a league match that will kick off at 12.30pm.
