Four more members of the current Jersey Reds squad have agreed new deals to remain with the club for another season.
The longest-serving of the quartet is lock Dave Mckern, who arrived from his native Australia in October 2015 - the 28-year-old recovered from serious injury in just his second game for his new club and is set for his fourth season on the Island.
Hooker Jack Macfarlane has fonder memories of his second outing for the Reds, crossing for a try in the pre-season match against Ampthill. The 25-year-old Scotsman will be back for pre-season training this summer ahead of a third season as Red.
The other players confirmed as returning for 2018/19 both joined Jersey Reds in summer 2017. Centre Mark Best, 23, who previously played for Ulster in his native Northern Ireland, and 21-year-old former London Welsh wing Josh Hodson.
Head Coach Harvey Biljon said: "Dave, Jack, Mark and Josh have all made significant contributions this season and I'm looking forward to seeing them develop further during 2018/19.
After an away trip to London Scottish this Friday, the Reds have a brace of matches at Stade Santander International to look forward to before the end of March. First of all Rotherham Titans will visit for a Championship game on Saturday March 24th, and then on the afternoon of Good Friday (March 30th), there's the British & Irish Cup quarter-final against Doncaster Knights.
