The RFU Championship match between Newcastle Falcons and Jersey
RFC at Kingston Park on Friday 29th March will now kick-off at the
earlier time of 5pm.
Falcons' Chief Executive Paul Varley said: "With the fixture taking
place on Good Friday it is an ideal opportunity for families with
children to enjoy the game.
"From the feedback that we received from supporters we decided to
bring the kick-off time forward.
"The club would like to thank Jersey and the RFU for their
cooperation on this matter and we look forward to welcoming Jersey
to Kingston Park."
Jersey Chairman Bill Dempsey added: "We were approached by
Newcastle and have consulted our director of Rugby Ben Harvey and
checked, where possible, the travel plans of our supporters. After
doing this we have agreed to the earlier start."
Ben Harvey and his counterpart Dean Richards, pictured at
the Championship launch at Twickenham last August, will be the
men-in-charge for the Good Friday encounter.
