FT Moseley 10 - 3 Jersey RFC
The Islanders leave Billesley common with a losing BP after a
scoreless 2nd half.
Jersey started off strongly but could not break down a stubborn
Moseley defence, and it was the home team that scored first with a
penalty. They extended the lead with a well-taken try scored by
winger Williams who collected the ball on the half way and finished
it underneath the posts having evaded a Burroughs tackle. Jersey
reduced the deficit just before the break with a Niall O'Connor
penalty.
Perhaps the most telling part of the second half was when Jersey
were camped on the Moseley line, and despite no fewer than 9 reset
scrums, no PT was awarded.
