Anyone looking for a double fix of rugby this Saturday afternoon
should head up to Jersey RFC.
The JRA Unity Rugby Union Sevens Challenge Shield will take
place from 12noon with teams from Wales and France joining a number
of local sides in the seven-a-side tournament, which will include a
series of qualifying group matches ahead of finals from (approx)
3pm. The games will take place on pitches 4 & 5 at St Peter (to
the rear of Jersey Bowl), and there will also be a women's match at
11.45am.
The live action will be finished just in time for the
'All-Ireland' Heineken Cup Final between Ulster and Leinster, which
will be shown on the big screens in the clubhouse, starting at
5pm.
The clubhouse - including bar - will be open all afternoon from
12noon to 7pm and there will also be a food van offering pork rolls
and other goodies.
