A controlled performance, marshalled by the return of captain Pierce Phillips who was later awarded the Man of the Match award by the match day sponsor, Ashburton saw Jersey Reds secure a bonus point win and passage through to a home quarter-final draw in the B&I cup.
Trailing at half-time by 10-14, as the visitors scored a break-away try just before the break, Jersey had to dig deep to grind out the scores.
The visitors extended their lead in the second period, and it wasn't until the final quarter that the Reds got their noses back in front; a lead that they were never to relinquish.
