For the next two Saturdays Jersey Athletic will have home league
games in The Shield competition, with Worthing and Esher the
visitors to St Peter.
Both games will kick off at 12noon, with lunch in the clubhouse
following at 2pm. There will then be the chances to watch
international rugby on the big screen: this Saturday (2nd November)
England play Australia at 2.30pm; the following Saturday (9th
November) it's England v Argentina at 2.30pm, followed by Wales v
South Africa at 5.30pm.
Places at each lunch cost just £15 for an individual spot or
£150 for a table of 10. The clubhouse is filling up fast, so to
secure your space please email Sean Dunne, Club Manager by
last thing on the Wednesday before each game. Please specify how
many places you want, and for which date, plus a contact phone
number.
The Athletic, Jersey's newly-formed amateur side, are going well
thus far this season, with three wins from their four league games
and a number of former 1st XV players in the squad.
