Jersey ground out a gutsy win in cold and wet conditions, much
to the delight of the home faithful who had come up and braved the
elements.
Foster scored the first try of the afternoon after 4 minutes to
give Jersey the lead, but it only lasted until the 8th minute when
Nottingham scored a converted try of their own. The visitors
extended their lead with a penalty midway in the first half to go
in at half-time 5-10.
It wasn't until late on in the second half that Jersey got their
crucial 2nd try through McCrea that was converted by Bentley to
regain the lead, and they then held on with some determined defence
on their own 22 when being pressurised right to the end.
