Argentine international hooker Martin Garcia Veiga has become
the latest signing for Jersey RFC ahead of the forthcoming season
in the Greene King IPA Championship.
The 28-year-old (pictured below) has won six caps for
his country, including two test matches against England last year,
and formerly played for the Buenos Aires Cricket & Rugby Club
in the Argentine capital.
Head Coach Harvey Biljon said: "Martin is a player with real
pedigree who is seeking to show what he can do away from his home
country. We're delighted that he has arrived and taken his place in
the squad as our pre-season schedule gathers intensity."
Martin will join his compatriot Ignacio Saenz Lancuba in the
Jersey squad after the prop, who has also represented his country,
signed last month.
The Jersey squad are building up to the Greene King IPA
Championship season, which starts on September 6th. Ahead of this

Supporters are reminded that the early bird deadline for buying
a season ticket expires on Thursday July 31st. Season tickets cost
just £80 for members (£5.30 per match) or £190 for non-members
(£12.70 per match) up to this deadline, with prices rising to £100
and £205 from August onwards (all prices are subject to GST). For
