The RFU has confirmed the dates and kick-off times for
the Greene King IPA Big Rugby Weekend which will kick off this the
2013/14 season.
Led by the Championship clubs, the double-header weekend is
designed to kick-off the new season under Greene King IPA with a
festival of Championship rugby, taking place at the three neutral
venues of Allianz Park in North London (Saracens' home ground),
Castle Park in Doncaster and Sandy Park in Exeter. The matches will
form part of the 23-match league season, with points counting
towards each club's final league standing.
Jersey will play Plymouth Albion at Exeter Chiefs' home ground
at 1.15pm on Sunday 15th September. Sky Sports, who will extend
their Championship coverage to 18 games across the 2013-14 season,
will broadcast both fixtures live from Sandy Park that
afternoon.
