Ben Harvey has made eight changes to his starting line-up for
tomorrow's return to GKIPA Championship action with the arrival of
Plymouth Albion to the Channel Islands as the Reds seek revenge for
their opening day defeat to the West Country outfit (Kick Off
14:30).
Jersey will be looking to extend their good form in league and
cup following victory over Ayr and a narrow loss to Ulster in the
British & Irish Cup as Harvey's men continue to compete in both
formats.
Notable changes in backs include James Copsey handed his first
league start of the season on the right wing, whilst Nicky
Griffiths and Grant Pointer return to scrum-half and full-back
respectively. Top try scorer Ed Dawson keeps his place on the other
wing with Mark McCrea moving to inside centre for the crucial
encounter at St Peter.
In the pack, Nick Campbell returns to the starting XV alongside
skipper Alex Rae and Tom Brown re-enters the fray at the base of
the scrum. Sean McCarthy comes back into the front-row with
familiar faces David Young and Elvis Taione who leaves for
international duty with Tonga next week.
Harvey has selected another strong replacements bench featuring
two JRFCA products David Felton and James Voss, whilst Nick Selway
keeps his place in the squad having impressed since his late
arrival. Half-backs Joel Dudley and Aaron Penberthy will hope to
add pace in the later stages as the Islanders target their third
competitive win of the season at St Peter.
