Second row forward Nathan Hannay has been suspended for two
weeks by Jersey RFC following an incident in the game against
Cambridge on November 12th for which he received a red card.
The decision to invoke an immediate suspension was made at a
meeting attended by JRFC Chairman Bill Dempsey, Head Coach Ben
Harvey and Channel Islands' Disciplinary Officer Cliff
Chipperfield.
The suspension runs from Monday November 14th until Monday
November 28th, the date when Nathan is expected to take part in a
Rugby Football Union disciplinary hearing.
"While not wishing to prejudice the forthcoming proceedings,
Nathan has pleaded guilty to the charge of foul play, and JRFC feel
that the best way to deal with the situation is for Nathan not to
be part of the Jersey squad during this period," states Bill
Dempsey.
