Another frustrating day at the 'cursed' Vallis Way.
In front of fewer than 500 spectators, Jersey ultimately fell short at the final hurdle.
The first half was punctuated by mistakes from both camps, and the only difference was that Ealing opted to kick for points on two occasion to give themselves a 6-0 half time lead.
This could have been different after the Reds were camped on the opposition line for what seemed like an eternity, picking up penalty after penalty and seeing an Ealing yellow card, but eventually a decision went against the Reds and the threat was over.
The second half saw Jersey score twice early on to take a 6-12 lead, but Ealing were to fight back and score a converted try of their own to regain the advantage.
Jersey sneaked a penalty to go back in front and then the try winning moment came from Ealing.
Jersey had a chance in the dieing moments to steal the points, but Ross Adair (an earlier try scorer) unfortunately spilled the ball when a chance came begging, and the final whistle went.
