Jersey secured their 3rd win of the season away at Castle Park
over a determined Doncaster Knights who fought to the end,
constantly putting the Reds under pressure in the second
period.
2 first half tries, one a classic catch and drive and the other an
opportunist try by Locke capitilising on a Knights mistake had set
Jersey on their way, and with a dominant, heavier pack there was
every expectation that Harvey's men would build on the solid HT
score of 9-23. The Knights had other ideas though, and were a
different, more potent threat in the second period.
Jersey had to endure sustained periods of pressure and
ultimately it was their stoic defence that saw them over the line
with a win that elevates them to 8th in the table.
