Jersey Reds have confirmed the dates and kick-off times for their home league and cup games in the RFU Championship.
The Reds’ home opener at Stade Santander International will be a 3pm KO against Coventry on Saturday September 17th – this will be the Reds’ 200th Championship game at the start of their 11th season playing at level two.
Three Friday night games are included in the league/cup schedule, the league visits of Cornish Pirates and Doncaster Knights on September 30th and October 21st respectively, plus the cup clash with Nottingham on February 17th. Friday games will kick off at the slightly earlier time of 7.15pm.
Newly-promoted Caldy, based on the Wirral peninsula a few miles west of Liverpool, will host their visitors from Jersey at Paton Field on the second weekend of October before making their maiden voyage to the Island on Saturday 4 March.
The Championship Cup will see the Reds in a group with Nottingham, Hartpury and Ealing Trailfinders, with three group games in November and the remaining three in February ahead of semi-finals and the final in May.
The majority of away games, as well as the home game with Richmond in December, remain listed for ‘weekend of’ dates and could be played on Friday evenings, Saturdays or Sundays – supporters are advised not to make travel arrangements for these games around specific KO times/days prior to these being finalised and confirmed by clubs – this will happen as soon as possible.
Before the league action starts, the Reds will face a trio of home pre-season games at Stade Santander International: Leicester Tigers on Friday August 19th, London Irish on Saturday August 27th and Bath on Friday September 2nd.
