After successful trips for away games in recent season, the Reds are once again looking at charter flights for the players, coaches and supporters to travel to away matches in 2019/20.
On the first weekend of November, we are looking to charter a plane for our away game against Newcastle Falcons at Kingston Park. The 36-hour, one-night trip will also include a chance to sample the famous 'Toon' nightlife, and also to enjoy the final of the 2019 Rugby World Cup
Due to the range of locations and prices across the many options for accommodation, we don’t intend to offer a full package including a designated hotel. Those coming on the trip will need to arrange their own hotel for one night. There will be coach transport arranged after the game for the journey from the ground to Airport at a modest charge.
Details of the proposed trip (with approximate timings as a guide) are as follows:
Friday Nov 1st
10am: flight departs Jersey
11.30am: land at Newcastle
Afternoon and evening: at leisure - maybe (for non-players) a night on the Toon?
Saturday Nov 2nd
9am: World Cup Final televised from Yokohama, Japan
1pm: Newcastle Falcons v Jersey Reds at Kingston Park
5pm: leave Kingston Park
5.15pm: arrive Newcastle Airport
6.45pm: flight departs Newcastle Airport
8.30pm: land in Jersey.
The cost of the return flight to Newcastle will be £231 per person.

If sufficient people respond to make the trip viable, then full payment will be required Wednesday July 31st.
We are also considering a repeat of the successful charter to Cornwall for the game against Cornish Pirates on (Easter) Sunday April 12th - we'll be sharing details of this trip shortly.
