JRFC are delighted to announce that the Rugby World Cup trophy, known affectionately as 'Bill', will be on the Island this Friday morning for an event in the Royal Square as part of its 100 day tour around the British Isles, ahead of RWC2015 kicking off in September.
Members and supporters are invited to come along to have their photograph taken with the cup.
Members of the JRFC squad will be in attendance, with those who have links to World cup countries being encouraged to wear their home shirt to provide some theatre to the event.
Rugby has been at the heart of the Trophy Tour schedule that started on 10th June, a journey that is engaging with over 100 clubs, organisations and rugby festivals, from grassroots to elite level, and fans everywhere are being given the chance to get up close to the cup at numerous events.
The cup will be on display from just after 9am for about 1 1/2 hours.
