Sky Sports has chosen Jersey Reds' clash against Cornish Pirates to be broadcast live on Sunday April 12th.
The Easter Sunday Round 19 encounter in the Greene King IPA Championship will be shown live from the Pirates' home ground, the Mennaye Field in Penzance. The match will kick off at 2pm.
The current Championship standings show the two sides locked together third and fourth places in the table, each with 20 points and separated only by goal difference.
It will be the Reds' first outing in front of the Sky cameras since the trip to play London Irish at the Madejski Stadium in Reading in January 2019. Chairman Mark Morgan said he'd been delighted when news of the broadcast was confirmed.
"It's great news for the Club and the Island that we'll be in the national spotlight when the players run out in front of the Sky cameras at the Mennaye," he said. "We have built up a healthy rivalry with the Pirates during the eight seasons since our arrival in the Championship, and both clubs have made decent starts to their 2019/20 campaigns, so it should be a cracking live match for Sky viewers across the UK - and the Channel Islands of course!"
