The first month of the season has seen rugby at all levels
resume across the Island after the summer break. Jersey's 1st XV
were first out of the blocks, before August had even finished, and
have made an encouraging start to life in SSE National League One.
Ben Harvey's men have won three out of five games so far, including
narrow away wins against two of London's establishment clubs,
Blackheath and Rosslyn Park. Both losses have come against last
year's National Two champions, Fylde and Ealing, who are currently
blazing a trail at the top of the table.
Now the 2nd XV, Colts and Academy have all begun their season,
while the Wanderers will kick off in earnest when the annual Super
10s Vets' tournament takes place this weekend. It's a busy time at
JRFC, with some of the key events covered in this month's
newsletter.
