Jersey beat Coventry away from home on Saturday 37-13 to secure
the National 1 title and promotion to the RFU Championship.
This has been a fantastic season for all involved from the
players, coaching staff, medical support,
sponsors and committee to the army of supporters that has
continued to grow each month.
Jersey host Fylde next Saturday at St Peters
who travel on the back of a good result themselves this
weekend having held the other main title contenders, Ealing to
a 22-22 draw. Fylde led comfortable up until 7 mins to go,
only for Trailfinders to bounce back with 3 late scores to tie the
game and share the spoils.
Whilst it is a fantastic achievement to have secured the title,
the team will be keen to finish the season with a bang by beating
Fylde and getting revenge having lost to them in the
first game of the campaign back at the end of August 2011.
A full match report from the game on Saturday will follow
shortly.
