There's an exciting mix of live and televised rugby coming up at
Jersey RFC.
Though the 1st XV are not in action this weekend, the 2nds (aka
Jersey Athletic) have a game, and 1st XV captain Nathan Hannay will
also be in action when he plays for the RFU Championship XV against
the Maori All Blacks at Doncaster RFC.
The Championship XV game is being shown live on Sky Sports on
Saturday November 17th - and the JRFC clubhouse
will be open from 11am. The Maori game starts at 12.05pm, and lunch
of pie, chips, peas and gravy will be available at a cost of £4. No
need to book, just come up with your appetite and £4. Those
wanting to see some live action can watch Jersey Athletic take on
Beeches (KO 12.30pm on SP4) and later on there will be the Autumn
International between England and Australia on the big screen (KO
2.30pm).
The following weekend - Saturday November 24th
- Jersey's return to league action against Championship
leaders Newcastle will be the main attraction, with kick-off at
3pm. But for those who want to keep up with international action,
then Ireland v Argentina (2pm), England v South Africa (2.30pm) and
Wales v New Zealand (5.15pm) should all be available on TV.
On Saturday December 1st the Autumn
Internationals conclude with England playing New Zealand and Wales
taking on Australia - the final chance to earn world ranking points
before the 2015 World Cup draw on December 3rd. Both games kick-off
at 2.30pm, and there'll also be a live game for those who prefer,
with Jersey Wanderers taking on Beeches (KO TBC).
