Jersey Rugby Football Club is delighted to announce ORA will
become joint main sponsors of the Club for the 2013/14 season,
alongside continued support from the Economic Development
Department of the States of Jersey.
The sponsorship from Economic Development, which is aligned with
the marketing strategies of both Jersey Tourism and Locate Jersey,
proved a huge success in the 2012/13 season, paving the way for the
new three-way partnership between new front-of-shirt sponsors ORA,
Jersey.com and JRFC.
The new sponsorship will enable the Islanders to remain
competitive in the Greene King IPA Championship this coming
season.
The new first-choice and alternate shirts were launched at a
team photoshoot at Corbière Lighthouse and include not just main
sponsors ORA and Jersey.com, but renewing shirt sponsors Dandara,
Avis, Randalls, Style Group, Santander and kit manufacturer Kukri.
There are two new additions to the shirts: the Greene King IPA
Championship logo emblazoned on the left arm, and another new
sponsor, Hangar8, whose logo is sited beneath the collar.
Locate Jersey and Hangar8 will also have their logos on the
newly-designed Jersey RFC shorts.
The new eye-catching designs of both new shirts will be
available to buy from the Club Shop from today (Thursday 8th
August) during the usual opening hours of 10am - 1pm on Tuesday,
Thursday and Friday, as well as match days once the season
starts. A range of sizes is on offer, from childs at £45 to a
variety of adult sizes at the reduced rate of £49.
Speaking at the launch, Club Chairman Bill Dempsey said: "The
whole club is thrilled by the support of the community and is
looking forward to welcoming ORA on board. We must also thank
Economic Development and the respective teams at Locate Jersey and
Jersey Tourism for their continued commitment to what is proving to
be a successful partnership in increasing the profile of sport
locally and of Jersey in the UK and beyond.
"Working together has proved a great success, not only for the
rugby club, but for the Island as a whole. We are proud to
represent Jersey and can't wait for the new season to kick off with
the visit of Leicester Tigers to St. Peter on Saturday 24th
August."
Senator Alan Maclean, Economic Development Minister,
commented: "Our sponsorship of JRFC is providing us with an
excellent opportunity to attract visitors and business to the
Island, and I am delighted that we are maintaining the same level
of support this season. Last year, visiting teams brought thousands
of fans with them to Jersey over the course of the season, all of
whom spent money in hotels and visited restaurants and tourist
attractions. In addition, we have had the opportunity to reach
business leaders and entrepreneurs across the UK. The Economic
Development Department is delighted that our continued support has
encouraged businesses to sponsor JRFC."
