Cornish Pirates ultimately held on to win by 19 points to 15
against Jersey in a match played in extremely wet and muddy
conditions.
It was Aaron Penberthy who was first on the scoreboard to give the
visitors a 0-3 lead, and that was how it stayed for much of the
first half until Pirates scored twice, the 2nd on the stroke of
half time.
Having conceded again at the start of the second half Jersey had
an uphill battle from 19-3 down, and full credit to the boys who
battled until the end to secure a losing bonus point, scoring two
tries of their own in the process.
