500,000 tickets for the Rugby World Cup in 2015 are to be made
available through RFU clubs to the rugby community.
The method of allocation is distinct and different to that
adpoted for other internationals, as tickets will be sold directly
to members nominated by their Club and will be processed on-line
through the RWC2015 Ticketing System.
We now know how many tickets have been made available to JRFC for
all of the matches at Twickenham, including the final.
There is generally a larger allocation available for matches being
played at other locations.
The Executive committee now invites members to apply under the
process detailed below for an allocation. Officers will then
determine how and to whom the tickets will be distributed.
In line with the guidelines set out by the RWC2015 ticketing
system, it is stressed that tickets are for personal use
only and corporate names will not be accepted by the
ticket website. Any misuse will bring the Club into disciplinary
proceedings which could result in future ticket allocations for all
international matches being reduced or cancelled altogether.
Details of all the games being played and the corresponding
stadiums are available by clicking on the following link http://www.rugbyworldcup.com/home/fixturesresults/index.html
Each member can apply for a maximum of two tickets per match for
Twickenham and four at other grounds. - Please send all requests to
commercial@jrfc.je - these must be
received by 6pm on Monday 28th April (one week from
today).
Applications can only be considered by members who are 18 and
over, and all applicants must be paid-up JRFC members for the
2014-15 season before the 16th May.
As we are expecting a great deal of interest for all games,
particularly those at HQ, we will run a ballot to determine which
members will have their names entered on to the ticket system -
this has to be done by the 6th May.
Those members who are listed will then be sent an automated email
from RWC2015 inviting them to register on the ticketing website
ahead of the tickets going on sale on the 16th May.
On the 16th May the online ticket sale starts when those with an
allocation can purchase their tickets. - Tickets at the various
prices will be sold on a first come first served basis, so it will
be important to get on-line as early as possible on that day to
secure the tickets of your choice.
The 'club priority' sale will close on 30th June and sales to
members of the public will open in September.
