A great start to the B&I cup campaign for Jersey with a
bonus point win over a spirited Carmarthen Quins side.
Two tries either side of half time and three penalties saw the
Reds run out comfortable winners in the end, in what had
looked at times in the first half, and soon after the break, a very
tight affair.
With a reshuffled side and three players starting for the first
time this season, it was an opportunity for a number
of squad players to stake their claim for more regular rugby,
and perhaps a starting berth when we return to Championship action
here at St Peter on Saturday November 8th.
