Five of Jersey 1st XV were in town today busy promoting not only the match tomorrow being held up at St Peter, but Jersey Action Against Rape(JAAR) which are JRFC’s chosen charity for 2015/16.
The players will be wearing specially designed shirts for the game against Bedford, and are looking to build on the success of last week.
Passers-by in St Helier were delighted to stop and chat to the players and have their photos taken with them, as well as entering a draw to win tickets for tomorrow’s game.
We had 4 lucky winners from the draw who all won 2 match day tickets each for tomorrow’s game:
Our first winner, Tina Craven, was thrilled with her win and is looking forward to supporting JRFC up at St Peters tomorrow.
Given that JAAR are still in their infancy (9 months old), Sara McIntosh was delighted with the interest that they received in town with the support of the players.
