The 2017 Siam Cup, sponsored by Ipes, is fast-approaching. Here's the info supporters will need ahead of the big day on Saturday May 6th, when Channel Island rivals Jersey Reds and Guernsey Raiders lock horns.
Thursday team announcement, open training session + presentation
On Thursday evening (4 May) the 1st and 2nd teams will have their final training sessions prior to the Siam and Fallaize Cups. The Pavilion Bar will be open from 6pm and supporters are welcome to come up for a drink and watch the training. Food will be available at £10 per person - please book by emailing Sean Dunne before 11am Thursday.
After the players have finished training, they will come into the Pavilion at around 8pm and the teams for Saturday will be officially announced by Head Coach Myles Landick, with a presentation of Siam Cup ties to 1st XV players by Jersey Reds Chairman and former Siam Cup cap Mark Morgan.
We hope as many supporters as possible will come up and take part in this final build-up event to Saturday's big day.

The main Lord Jersey stand is fully-subscribed, however there are several banks of unreserved seating around the ground, available on a first-come-first-served basis.

There will be a range of food and drink outlets available throughout the day. The main Clubhouse bar will be open to all from 4.45pm.
End-of-season Raffle
This season Jersey Reds have been running a fund-raising raffle with the chance to win a Audi A1 Sport worth £20,000, plus additional cash prizes of £3,000, 2 x £1,000 and 2 x £500. The draw will take place at 5pm, soon after the Siam Cup is presented. This will be the last chance to buy tickets, priced at £20 each - make sure you get your tickets before the main Siam game kicks off - they will be on sale in the marquee and the Club Shop. Please note that, in order to complete the admin required prior to the draw, all ticket sales will cease at 2pm.
Getting to the club
For those flying in/out on the day, the ground is less than 10 minutes walk from the airport.
If you are coming from St Helier we'd recommend Liberty Bus who have three services serving the rugby club (the single fare is £2). The No 9 to/from St Helier stops outside the ground or catch the #15 to the Airport and get off at the penultimate stop, The Mermaid, from where it's a 5-minute walk. The #15 service will have greater capacity as these services run every 15 minutes, using double-decker vehicles, and also serve St Aubin. Or finally there's the #22 service to L'Etacq, which stops on the Airport Road just by the Jersey Aero Club, adjacent to the Jersey Bowl entrance to the ground. Return bus times will be posted at the main gate on the day of the match or you can visit www.libertybus.je
A taxi to/from the ground from/to town (St Helier) will be around £15. Getting a taxi booking after the match can be challenging!
We hope everyone has a great day at the 2017 Siam Cup!
