Kick-off: 7.30pm
Final whistle: 9.15pm (approx). Cup presentation on pitch
Extra-time: will be played if the scores are level after 80 minutes. If the scores remain level after 20 minutes' extra-time, the team scoring the most tries in the match will be the winner. If the teams have scored the same number of tries in the match, there will be a kicking competition to settle the result.
The Ground
Irish Independent Park, originally known as Musgrave Park, is around one-and-a-half miles south of Cork city centre. The ground, which has a capacity of 9,500, is situated between Tramore Road and Pearse Road in Ballyphehane. Access is possible from both roads and entrances are more commonly known as the Sundays Well entrance (Tramore Rd) servicing the South East terraces, and the Dolphin entrance (Pearse Rd) servicing the North West terraces and the West stand.
Tickets
Tickets for the game are on sale online via Ticketmaster or on the gate. Tickets, which are all unreserved, are priced at €10 for adults and €5 for children. Family packs are also available for €20 (2 adults + 2 children). The ground has a covered stand (with seating) and 3 additional terraces. One of the terraces is covered. Access in each area is general access and is provided on a first come first served basis. Inside the ground bars and concessions will be open for supporters.
Pre-match meeting point
Sunday's Well RFC, whose clubhouse is within the ground, will be opening their facilities, and this will serve as a meeting point for Jersey supporters. The bar will open at 6pm.
Access to the ground
There’s been a need to make a minor amend to arrangements for those joining the pre-match gathering at Sunday’s Well RFC (SW). This is because it’s not possible to get into SW without entering the ground.
SW won’t be open at 5.30pm as planned, but from 6pm. However in order to get access from 6- 6.30pm people will need to have bought their tickets online via the Ticketmaster link above.
It’s not necessary to print tickets – you can get an email confirmation to your phone with a QR/barcode and that will enable you to gain admittance via the Sunday’s Well gate, Tramore Road. No other gates will open prior to 6.30.
If you cannot get an advance ticket, it won’t be possible to get into any part of the ground, including SW, until 6.30pm when the cash turnstiles open. It’s very compact, apparently, so you’d still have time to get in and have a pint and get your curry before 7.15pm, with the stands just few steps from SW.
We apologise for this late change – it’s beyond our control, but we hope people can adjust their plans accordingly to mean that no-one’s inconvenienced or delayed.
