A blistering first half by Jersey Reds as the visitors imposed themselves through the forwards saw Jersey score four first half tries and go in at the break leading by 7-31 and, on paper, cruising.
That said, the hosts had scored a brilliant counter try from deep and could have added a second, but for a final forward pass.
The second half was a completely different affair, and having been starved of possession in the first period, the Scots dominated play and territory and fought back to within a single point as the game entered stoppage time.
Jersey then won a penalty and Katz 'cooly' converted, maintaining a 100% record for the afternoon to get the final score of the day (33-37), but there was still time for the Exiles to launch another attack and the Reds again had to defend right up until the final whistle.
A happy Harvey Biljon conceded afterwards that we had made 'hard work' of that in the end!
