In a game that never really got going for either side, it was Ealing that held on at the end, much to the disappointment of a vocal home crowd.
The visitors were first on the scoresheet, and indeed controlled much of the first half with probing kicks by ex-Red Aaron Penberthy, and they turned round leading by 7-10.
The second half saw a lot of kicking for possession, and it was only towards the end that the Reds really looked to dominate play. A penalty was dispatched to Bowl corner and from that we won another penalty. A series of reset scrums ended in heartache as we were unable to notch the all important score.
