All in all a disappointing afternoon for the Reds.
London Scottish kicked off and took the game straight to the home side and were the first on the scoresheet with a converted try after only a matter of minutes.
The Reds did get into the right areas but came up against a stubborn Scottish defence and then opted to kick for points to reduce the deficit to 3-7.
Scottish were to score twice more before half time, and the Reds were unable to make their own moments of pressure tell.
The Reds were playing down the slope in the second half and looking for a change in fortunes, but it didn't happen.
The second half ended up 2 tries to 1 to Scottish, with the only respite and real excitement for the home faithful being a well taken try by Richard Lane in the Bowl corner which Cope converted.
